The Color Palette. This is where you select the foreground and background colors. DS has several color palettes built in. Check out the Palette menu to the left. Additionally, you can define your own custom palettes (Windows Menu, Custom Palettes).

The selected custom palette. To change a color on your custom palette, click a color chip and then select a color from the source palette below.
Hint: Don窶冲 redefine Black and White, you almost always need them for something.

This is the list of custom palettes you have designed. To edit one, click on it. It will be displayed in the middle of the window. Click on a color chip, and you can redefine the chip by clicking on a color from the source palette.
Source Palette Menu. Disabled
Source Palette Menu. Choose a source palette. Select any of DS窶冱 built in palettes, and any palettes you define. These are shown in the lower part of the window and become the current palette from which you can choose colors for your custom palette.
Rename Palette. Disabled because no palette is selected.
Rename Palette. Click here to change the name of the selected palette.
Remove Palette. Disabled because there are no custom palettes to remove, or there is no palette selected.
Remove Palette. Removes the custom palette which is selected in the custom palette list.
Add Palette. Disabled.
Add Palette. Click here to create a new custom palette. Initially it will look like the 16 color palette. A dialog box will appear asking you to name the new palette.
